Now you can help your community to be a safer place to live and play by volunteering to help. The most effective way to keep crime and other problems away from our city is to make areas "unattractive" to the lawbreakers. To do this a cooperative effort is needed by the Police Department, Fire Department and Sheriff's Office and community. Volunteers are being solicited to join this community-oriented group sponsored by the departments. Regardless of the amount of time you have to offer, this exciting new group will give you the opportunity to help the community where YOU live and play.
Volunteers must possess the following qualification:
1 Ability to work well with others
2 Ability to follow procedures accurately and responsibility
3 Strong interpersonal communication skills
4 Desire to aid in the achievement of police, fire, sherrif as well as community goals and objectives
5 Successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and driving check
ALL Volunteers will be provided with:
-
Classroom and field training
-
Equipment and clothing to properly perform duties
Grand Total of: $117,733 was saved by volunteers for the City of Rochester
